Hello everyone: I have a compaq presario 5300, 5310us with windows xp preinstalled. I want to start learning java programming. I have microsoft virtual machine, build 3802, and microsoft sdk for java 4.0, and I don't know what else I need to start learning java could someone help me get started?

As Microsoft appear to have abandoned Java, it may be prudent to install the Sun version.

download and install from here working 100% i did try it my self then go to update windows and update it .
