chit chat

most of the tech forums i used to go to the chit chat sections were always very active, this one sadly is not. i have pretty much quit posting at other forums because i have less time and i like this one best. i have tried to start topics, conversations in the past that didnt go very far. the only thing i notice different here then the other forums is not so many senior members and moderators, and that is who does most of the chatting in the other forums i visited. i was a moderator of a couple tech forums, one was for developers, i was a mod in the hardware and windows sections, not that i want to be a mod anymore. the other was a windows help site. the windows help site closed down last year and i found this one to fill the void. i gave up on the idea i could program and just lost interest in the developers site. the forums i was a mod for had several others, they dont seem to miss me anyway. i didnt post here for a long time and started getting emails saying i needed to come back from some of the members here, i felt loved. so if anyone wants to discuss something, post it. i will for one be willing to hash it over.

might not be new to some people, some will find it helpful or just plain cool. besides if you post something others and myself have seen we can talk about it.

This forum is very straightforward and dignified. Great when you are seeking information. I think that more chat would make it complete...just as long as it doesn't go in the wrong direction.

I don't post much, because I don't know that much about PC's. So, anything that you guys have to offer would be new to me.

More chat sounds like fun!

chat was the only thing i felt was missing here, looks like i may have sparked some, it dont matter what you post about in here. this is chit chat, you can talk about your pets, something going on at work. brag about new computer parts, or complain about what you dont like. some of the forums i was going to play forum games. those i dont like myself, but i can see the attraction. i read this forum alot and for example snowmonkey or ESALADUANE was to post something about a program i knew about but have not tried, i might give it a second look just because they and you post here often and i like to read what they have to say and would consider their opinion to be worth listening to. i am going to go with some of my own advice a dig out some of my good links, and start odd threads to see where they go.

Hi mate, i use to post a lot with over 7000 posts on another board until sadly i had a falling out with someone who knew someone who knew someone which was the end of me there. I have been a member here for a long time and i love having a chat but like you say it is very slow here so i rarely bother, i just stick to the help forum here and giving what little knowledge i know to others, most of my posting goes on in political news sites like libertyforum. It is nothing to do with computers.

I have my own site www.nwowatcher.com but i have done nothing much with it haha..It has a forum but i have not had time to set it up properly maybe one day, if i did it would not be about computers again it would be political..

But i will chat with you mate from time to time in chat here..
