Syquest driver

Bit of History...
I have some removable media 88MB (yes, Mega!) and a Syquest-drive that is notionally 200MB, becasue my media is the same physical size (and fits) I believe the drive "should" read my old data. ((I was given the drive recently, it never worked on my PC but has good looked-after provinance).
Background:
The Syquest was an early attempt to achieve safe recording which was not linited by the constrainst of HDD technology. By having removable platters the idea was that many different files could be stored- each safe and sound. Typially the drives are SCSI, and usually use on Macs (Hiss, boo!) because they were used in graphic arts - my files are scanned images.
/
I've looked on Drivers.com but nothing specific - I have a SCSI card (used for a scanner) the card is probably a DTC 3181E from the markings (more is unknown) I read that these were recognised as generic-SCSI cards - but I'm not certain about the use of Syquest on PC's - ( I do not have a Mac).....my OS is wind98SE.....although the above SCSI card is currently on a PC with Win95.
/
Any recollections of Syquest would be useful - before the memory is lost to civilisation. It is in a case about 9" Sq and 2" high, I have the SCSI leads (why two?) and a mains lead.
