how can I update the via rev 5 usb controller driver ?
I was in www.viaarena.com
drivers > microsoft windows > windows XP > usb
but there is no rev 5 there

Have you installed windows xp sp1?

Do you know the brand and model for your motherboard?
Usually you can updated drivers from the manufacturer of your moterboards web site.

I 've one question
on the via web site , there is 2 availlible downloads
1st is for usb 1 and the 2nd is for usb 2
and I've the 2.0
my question is :
if i download the usb 2 , can this generate any problem on my system ?

you definitely want the latest via drivers
it won't interfere with usb 1, if that's your concern
