ati radeon open gl problem

Recently i formatted my hard drive and reinstalled xp cause i had some "errors". In addition to the reinstall i installed a new ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb graphic card. When ever i run a game such a Counter-strike or day of defeat it will black out. About 3 seconds for day of defeat the screen will turn black or even shut off. about 10 seconds for counter-strike. I did update the ati graphic card's catalyst driver to the newest 4.11 driver. I also found that whenever i try to change 3d setting for perfomance or quality, it will have an error saying taht vup had to reset the settings cause the driver wasnt responding. I hit dont replay and then i get a box saying The currently used Opengl driver does not support the requiered extensions to run the 3d preview. I was wondering if there somewhere to download a new ati opengl driver. opengl.org says to download it from the graphic card's website but i couldnt find one. I run a windows xp with 512 ram and all updates EXCEPT service pack 2.

does anyone know where to get directx 9.0b i downloaded c and i think that might be the problem =P and how do u uninstall c

Ok, i had this problem. You have to Re-install the drivers a couple of times, before the ATI controll pannell twigs onto the fact that there is an ATI plugged in. When thats done, Direct-X will respond to the ATI Drivers, and thus therefore work.
