Twinkle DC 2110 Webcam - Win XP

I have tried to install the webcam but as I can't find the cd I downloaded the driver from the internet. My computer recognizes that there is a new usb hardware but can not find the driver, although according to the instructions that appears in teh README it says that with Win XP - it is plug and play - I don't need to install anything. So how come my computer doesn't recognize the web cam?????

Hullo. I know this is an old topic, but I don't see an answer to one of the questions, which is what I needed to know. Perhaps someone may still be able to assist.

Why is the Twinklecam listed as a plug n play with Windows, but on this last time that I reformatted and reinstalled, and lost drivers (disk gone, didn't know it was gone) I read on box plug n play, and that puzzled me. Why isn't it plug n playing, like the original poster's problem?

The driver is probably broken. It can be installed manually.
I have a Brother 1260 Printer. XP supports it natively, and detects it, yet I have to install it myself afterwards as undetected hardware.
It's why some call it plug'n'pray.
