Your board is an Intel D865PERL all your drivers are listed on the link, bookmark for future reference.

Set a System Restore Point before installing each driver

You need 2 drivers go here to Intel http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21

First download and install No:5 the INF: Intel Chipset Software Installation Utilty, then restart your comp
Then download and install No:4 Audio: ADI1985

it still has problems, after i installed both of what you said, soundMAX doesnt even work, no sound comes out, i even tried to use the driver from realtek for ac97' but still it shuts my comp down when it pops up about the unreconized driver install if you want to continue or quit, i hate this, nothing is working just when i start UGH!! >

when you have installed, can you go to Computer > Summary and post the details. Also have you installed a sound card, because what I have given are links to are intergrated onboard sound. Just a lottle point Belarc indicates that it cannot detect an antivirus programe, if you do not have one installed then this free programe is the one I use, it is AVG7, you can get it here free http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 update immediatley and then run the programe.This may have a bearing on why you are unable to install the drivers.

i bought a new ecs 755-a2 installed win xp pro sp2 but whenever i install sound driver i go to system adn click on ac97 and it says the driver is not installed i download the lasted 3.80 version but nothing help any other idea

Will someone please help me i have been looking for a week but my english is not so good (I am from Colombia). Please, someone, help me i don't know what to do and i've downloaded more than 9 diferent drivers allready.

please help

Check Add/Remove programes to see if the Realtek AC'97 is installed,

Use the installation CD that came with the mobo to install, insert Cd in drive then close the programe, go to Device Manager and select AC'97 driver / right click and choose Update driver / follow the prompts / Device manager will install the driver from the CD.

I do need more information, if the board is an Intel then you need the chipset driver, I have a link to an Intel board that has that sound card, but I do need to know if I am Correct, Intel make boards for a lot of computer companies.
