This board is an Intel D865GBF, sorry but the site is in English

Set a System Restore Point before installing each driver just in case

http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...5&submit=Go%21

Download and install No:5 the INF: Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility, then restart your comp
Then download and install No:4 Audio - ADI 1985 - this is a SoundMax audio driver.

Hope this helps

I did wonder about this driver offered by packard Bell, the Gigabyte site offers a different sound driver for your board,

use the restore point you set to go back to before you installed the driver

Then set another System Restore Point before you install this driver

Go here to Gigabyte http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/Motherbo...r_GA-8SIML.htm
and download and install the Realtek AC'97 driver

Hope this helps

Set a System Restore Point before installing each driver just in case

Go here to Intel http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...5&submit=Go%21

Download No: 1 the INF Update Utility, save where you can easily find it, install and then RESTART your comp. This is the Chipset driver.

Then go here to download your sound driver
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...4 6860&os=228

For future reference here are your motherboard specifications http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...dlc=en&lang=en bookmark for future reference

Your Audio is Realtek ALC880, you can also get the driver from Realtek here

Hope this helps

What is the make and model of your comp, Gigabyte have 3 different sound drivers listed for the SiS-645 motherboards. I have a good idea which one you need, but your make and model will verify if I am right.

Hope this helps

If you can't find the driver for your motherboard any other way, you can download it from the manufacturer's web site. http://www.ecs.com.tw

If you continue to have a "no sound" problem on the 755-A2 with all of the drivers installed, check your SPDIF01 jumper pinset, and make sure you have not plugged your CD-ROM sound cable into it.

The board also sometimes disables the audio in the bios. Check your integrated peripherals to make sure that it's updated.
