Help problem with Sound !!!!

Bad news,
I wasn't able to download the driver because of that stupid ftp link. Are you able to download it? It keeps saying Connection Refused or cannot display the page (weird  ), I also tried other download managers and FTP navigators, but still no luck. I googled the driver, but all the download sites link to the same FTP site! Argg! This sucks,

Bad news again,
I downloaded the 3.72 driver, but my sound isn't back yet . I think I'm gonna get a MAC, Windows is always giving me errors, what a piece of crap.

It was disabled in the BIOS lol!

No Multimedia Detected...
I recently upgraded from 98 to XP and now my sound won't work. I used the Belarc tool, and it can't detect any multimedia at all..?  There is definitely a sound card in the PC and it worked fine before I upgraded to XP... Please help me! Thanks... |

Shadowmancer need to know a little more, what make and model is you comp, look at Belarc under System Model or Main Circuit Board that should give use the motherboard, from there we should be able to find the sound device.

Windows isn't detecting my sound card. The Sony website doesn't have drivers posted; it only states that it's integrated AC'97.

I think it may have something to do with being an OEM, but you can get the driver here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True
Create a Restore Point just in case, then if any problems you can revert.

I need some help too! ... i tried downloading some drivers.. but won't let me.. it keeps saying something about the RPC being unavailable..so i don't know if i'm doing it wrong... also..i had just bought new speakers b4 the windows update.. would this matter... please help!!
