Help problem with Sound !!!!

Hi, everything regarding your audio in Device manager, right click, and click on "Uninstall" restart the PC once it's done, it should then re-detect your sound card / drivers and give the right one to use.

If not, do as Bookworm says and then install the drivers and see if this helps.

It's puzzling me where you got the 25 things from.

Uninstall them all, restart, re-detect, if that failes, install via bookworms advice.

Most likley the M$ UAA is not included get the driver from Realtek

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install


Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions[/QUOTE

Did the driver install, check to see if Realtek is set as default audio driver

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on
down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

thanks to my little brother for deleting my sound max driver from my school laptop,now i have been stuck with no sound for more than 3 months i have tried everything,i kept downloading the multimedia audio controller of this laptop from different websites but still doesnt work,HELP ME PZZZZZZZ


here are the specs of my laptop:

IBM Thinkpad R52
Intel pentium M processor 1.73ghz
512mb ram
40gb hd
