GeForce driver problem

Hi there

I recently installed a new game to my computer: Metal Gear Solid 2. But when I run the game the screen is blue and you can only see shadows and lights.

I have the 71.84 nvidia driver installed on my GeForce FX 5200 but the game only works if I install the driver that originally came with the card 44.03. I have tried other drivers such as 67.22, 63.93 and 61.77 but none of these solve the problem.

All other games work fine with 71.84 except MGS2.

Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Hi!!! Excuse me if i make errors writing but I'm Italian, and i understand a little English. I have the same graphic card, with updated driver, and in MGS2 I can see very well the menu, but after i select "new game", when otacon contacts Snake, I can't see their faces, and during the game is all dark except the radar. Is this your same problem? Did you found a solution for playing MGS2??? If you find it, i pray you to tell me it... Another thing: installing 44.03 drivers does the game run? Thanks!!! Bye!!!
