Drivers are no longer required for CD-ROM or CD-RW drives on modern versions of Windows. They are only required for DOS, not Windows, so manufacturers no longer supply drivers. Windows uses it's own built in driver for optical drives. Your cd-writing software may need updating if the drive is newer than the version of cd-writing software you are currently using. Go to the website of your cd-writing software to see if there is an update to recognise the drive.
