Geforce FX GO 5200 trouble

I have a laptop with a Nvidia Geforce FX Go 5200 64MB graphic card.
The thing is, im having a real problem installing the drivers for this card.
I've downloaded the drivers from Nvidias webpage, but when i try to run it, it just says that the driver i downloaded doesnt have any compatible hardware drivers for my card. And that really freaks me out :P
I also tried installing it from XP disc, and it didnt find any compatible version there either. So what i did was, brute-force installing a driver manually from XP disc Called Geforce FX 5200. It works for now, but im not satisfied one bit.
After all, im using the wrong drivers and they're pretty much outdated seeing as they were released somewhere around 2004. Could anyone help me out? My friend has an exact copy of my laptop, and he's got the same prob.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me on the subject

Well well...

Did some researching on google and found that there are alot of problems with the Geforce Fx go 5200 in particular. It seems that the Nvidia drivers that you're able to download dont support laptop computers at all. Pretty weird if you're asking me. Anyway, I downloaded the OmegaDrivers (tweaked version of Nvidia) and they worked just fine. So, if you've got the same problem as i did, go for it.

I did instal "modded" driver to my computer. Now my GeForce FX go works. I can play many games better than before.
You should try it!

well....it would have been easier to go to your laptop company and download the drivers from there. what laptop do you have? some laptops need a certain driver for different functions...
