nVDIA GeForce FX 5200 128 APG Video Card Driver

After briefly searching I can see this card is junk. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice at this time. So, I'm hoping someone out there can help me.

When I install a program, say Roxio Easy CD Creator 6 for example, I continually lose my video driver. When I finally get my system to boot all the way to Windows, I receive an error message stating a problem with my display settings. I change the colors to anything other than 16 colors - then the system wants to reboot (which it shouldn't since I have it set to apply settings without reboot). So, I am forced to reboot or not be able to see anything on the screen. Not to mention that Norton is griping that my system is low on memory (which it is not I have plenty of RAM 768 to be exact). So I reboot and I am right back where I started. I have searched for a more recent driver, but unless you are running Windows XP, Windows 2000, or NT, you are out of luck. I am running Windows 98 SE - BY CHOICE.

That is a brief break down of what I am facing. Got any ideas? I am going to try changing my directX. But thought I had better post JUST IN CASE!

Hope to hear from anyone soon.

Thanks

THe same thing happened to me all you need to do is to take the GeForce 5200 disk and reinstall it. But this time go to advanced then you will have to make sure that ALL of the boxes are checked off. I'm sure there is one not checked off... but im not sure what it's called.
