HP LaserJet 6L printer won't install without software

I have a HP LaserJet 6L printer that started acting up. I deleted the printer from my PC in hopes of installing it again. However, when I tried to install it again, it asked me for the software which I do not have. So now I have a printer that I cannot re-install. Does anyone have any answers on how I can get it back online?
