Medion have a support site, hunt over the tower for a Serial Number (S/N) and then go here http://www.medion.co.uk/
if you need more help just post back

Hope this helps

As medion are not offering an audio driver and neither are MSI, are your Audio jacks at the top of the tower near the mouse, keyboard and other sockets, or low down in an expansion slot, if they are low down you have a sound card, which means onboard drivers will not work,

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, MSI offer no audio driver, try this Realtek AC'97 http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

it shows on some foreign boards

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click to install

the site is slow

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Hope this helps

You will need to find the Serial Number, which should be on a label on the back of your comp, then go her to MPC site to get drivers, they use that board in several comps http://support.mpccorp.com/ Any problems just PM the serial number to me

Hope this helps

hi

Bookworm

actually my sound chip/card is detected by WinXP but it does not install it completely in hardware device manager it shows my sound hardware i.e. "Intel(R) 82801BA/BAM AC '97 Audio Controller - 2445" with a Yellow sign and says it is not properly installed and when I try to re-install and sfter complete installation it says in a pop-up window "cannot install the hardware".

So will the file you recommended (completely downloaded) be helpful in this situation?

Intel Motherboard Audio Issue

I find a strange situation, where suddenly after few days of running the PC, it stops playing audio. even system reboot does not resume audio play.

But, if I do full system shutdown and then power on the system, it starts playing audio. again it goes for few days, the problem appears again.

This is Intel D845 Motherboard.
