Please Help.

Also I have problems with my diskette drive. When I put in a diskette windows says that I must insert the diskette. I replaced the diskette drive and tried with other diskettes. But problem remains the same.

Is maybe problem in my BIOS? I don't know how to flash/upgrade BIOS

There are 2 audio adapters showing, how many sets or audio plugs do you have.
Intergrated Soud - audio plugs at top of tower near keyboard, mouse , USB sockets on the I/O plate

Sound Card - lower down tower in an exspansion ( PCI ) slot.

First look at this
Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Properties / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

Hope this helps

Exclamation System Recovery problem

I don't mean to be repetitive since a lot of the other people who posted on the forum have had the same problem, but after using system recovery the sound no longer worked and while I do know that in order to retrieve a sound driver you simply go to the manufacturers site for help, I have tried that and got confused. I'm not sure what information is needed but I'll post this.

Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller
MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
Standard Game Port

1.50 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
8 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P4B-LA REV 1.xx
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Award Software, Inc. 3.10 10/23/2001
Drives Memory Modules c,d
35.28 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
186 Megabytes Hard Drive Free Space

DVD-16X BDV316B [CD-ROM drive]
IDE-CD R/RW 12x8x32 [CD-ROM drive]

I should probably mention that whenever I go into device manager, there is no problem with the Intel(R) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller rather there is an "unknown device" installed with none of its drivers installed. Should I uninstall it? Also, whenever i go under sound and audio devices (under control panel) it says that no audio device is installed. I don't know what to do and any help is appreciated.

At Intel those boards do not have a sound driver for Win XP but only for Win 2000, also no chipset driver, you can get the chipset driver here http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21

No:3 install then RESTART your comp

the audio is Soundmax which is the driver you downloaded and installed but a newer version than the one listed for your board.

Try installing the audio driver again

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE

hOPE THIS HELPS

hey all i'm new and need a solution ASAP. Just got Blood Money via Torrent, and when i want to start it... it loads about 20% of the red flat line loading bar (Those who have played will understand) after that it freezes and then goes to the desktop with no error... nothing. Now i know some may be thinking it's due to the fact that i downloaded it as a torrent, but it's not because other's who have bought the game also have several problems with it. now to be clear i've updated my graphics driver i think, though when i scan my CPU with an online free scanning system it says it's out of date... but i think that's not it, because it would not come up at all would it?.?.? anywayz som have the problem with their sound, some say it's the sound card/drivers... and mine is out of date and i need to know what the hell 2 do, because i really want to enjoy this game....
