They are on the I/O plate. Fortunately, not my personal computer.

Whew!

can you get Everest and post the report Computer/Summary want to check the chipset etc http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml

Regards,

Can you check Device Manager / Display adapter / what does it show for your adapter.

Also a very new update, Video refresh rate utility for WinXP on 16 April 2007,not sure what this is.

Cheers

I found no display adapter on Device Manager, but there is Video Controller (VGA Compatible) with the yellow sign under Other Devices.
I tried Belarc and under Display it shows (None detected).
what do u think about this? is there anything I can do now?..

Thanks in advance

Need to check with someone, but it looks as if WinXP has loaded it's drivers and not the graphic card drivers, I'll get back.

Barbara,
Before I could try this last software, I found the sound driver for the IBM motherboard on DriverGuide.com. The name is 810audiowin982.exe in case anyone else needs this. I still have a "device" for which I have no idea what it is, but since everything works fine, I think it best to leave well enough alone! Thanks again for your help, Barbara!

James
