i just redid windows and it still no work i have latist drivers. no work. my bad i meant the realtex sound effect thang that cam with my alienware audio driver cd. butt anyway the update did not work it still messed up.

i also forgot to add when i push FN button plus the mute button my bc makes a like beep sound. and when pc starts up and shutts down it beeps 2 times when i starts up. and 1 when i shuts down. also my laptop has a built in cd player that i can use when pc if off. when i us cd player when pc if off the sound is fine butt if i play same cd when pc is on the audio sucks so im lost.

check this out

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot

when i opened what u said to open it was olredy on started and automatic. so i decided to disable it then stop it and apply. reboted then turened it back on and sound still messed up. this is not looking good. thx for all the help u are giveing. if u can thank of more that may help i will do it. this pc is begining to be a pain. evry time i play a song i bet alvine and them are laughing at me

well i cheaked it out i installed the vidio card drivers from the site and well it srill messed up. butt it did fix 1 thang the beeping has stoped when i shut down windows or start windows but alvin is still here.

Hey Barbara, it's nice to see how someone is helping people so much

I have a similar problem with my friends Dynabook SS MX/370LS. Hes father broat it to him from japan and he reinstalled windows on it, but he doesn't has any drivers CD and such. so he asked me to find some. It's been 2 days since i'm looking for it. There is only 3 drivers for this model on Dynabook.com i'v translated the web page but there is not any sound drivers... so could u please help me. it's on high definition bus.

I'm hving a problem with sound. When I try to open itunes r play a file using it, or windows media player, it tells me it cannot play it because there is a problem wiht my audio configeration.

Here is my belarc results. It looks to me like I have no sounds card or something. It' a (old) new comp.

Sorry about all the extra crap, i just wanted to make sure I put it ALL up.
