Angry Another NO SOUND problem

My daughter crashed computer my computer a few weeks ago. Fuelled by rage, the computer only being 7 months old, and sadly inexperience I used the back up rescue CD's which restored the computer to its factory state. Unfortunately I lost all my saved documents, pictures etc. However at least the computer was running again or so I thought. I have no sound. I have followed all the troubleshooter advice and it would seem I no longer have a audio driver. Like others on this site I have no idea of which one to download and have spent the last three nights, up most of the night, trying to make sense of it all.
I have done as suggested to others in my situation and downloaded Belarc advisor. My computer is an E-machine. Attached is the report I got from Belarc. Please please can someone help me and suggest a driver I can download.
Thankyou for help give.

Sound Problem

Please read the entire thread first.
1. Go to Add/Remove Programs (My Computer > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs)
2. See if there is any glaringly obvious sound drivers or anything like AC'97
3. Uninstall these
4. Go into Control Panel > System
5. Once the screen opens click the Hardware tab
6. Then click Device Manager
7. Assuming that this is currently in its default state (devices by connection) click on the plus next to Sound, video and game controllers
8. Uninstall the drivers that you can (some of these, for example the codecs, cannot be uninstalled but try it anyway)
9. Once you've done so, restart your computer and install any sound drivers that came with your PC.

From the information that you suplied, it's hard for me to tell which driver exactly you will need. If you could specify a model, i could track the driver for you. Hopefully this will work, good luck!

Create a System Restore Point before installing each of the drivers just in case

How to Start / All Programes / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore /Create a Restore Point / Next / give a name / Create / Close

Go here to Intel http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21

Your board is an Intel D915GAG, here are all the drivers for your board, Bookmark for future reference.

You need 2 drivers, First download and install No: 6 - INF Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility, Then restart your comp

Second download and install No:5 - Audio Intel HD Audio Controller - Realtek Codec.

save the files somewhere you can easily find them,My Documents is a good place, make a note of the name, they are both exe files, just double click them to install.

Hope this helps
