Question Nvidia drivers, problems!!!

Has anyone else had problems with the latest set of Nvidia drivers? The most easily solved one is the one where you click on the nvidia tab in display properties and it bounces you back to the desktop.
Do a search of
\windows\system32
for all files that start with NVR I.E. NVR*.DLL.
When presented with a list of said files delete them all. You can now access your Nvidia tab as b4!!!:O)
Why is it unless the drivers are WHQL certified I have probs when they are installed, I.E. windows not starting and having to remove them in safe mode and re-installing the last set of WHQL certified drivers?? I do have "Ignore" set for driver installs.

I simply went back to the 30.82 set when that problem showed.

Thanks for that info. That problem has been bugging me for ages and I found myself here while looking for an answer to it.

The Nvidia site is less than forthcoming about any problems. It just refers you back to your suppliers which doesn't help me much 'cos I bought my GeForce3 Ti500 as surplus stock on eBay.

As I said this is my first visit to your forum but I don't think it'll be my last.

Cheers
