Check this out first

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply > click Start > Reboot.

Your audio is Realtek High Definition go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...Audio%20Codecs

download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click to install

if you get a message that the M$ SM bus controller needs to be installed then get this driver from HP

Its the High Definition Audio device that has the exclamation point next to it, hope you can help.

This is the link to the C-Media Azelia audio driver for your board
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?f...=1&prod_no=154

it's a zip file, this is how to install
Installing Drivers

Create a folder for what you are downloading

Example: Audio
Then download the zipped file to that folder

Then download and install Winzip
Go to the folder and right click and click Winzip extract to here

That will automatically make a folder and unzip files to it ( make a note of file path)

Then go to folder and click on Setup file and follow instructions displayed for installation

If no Setup file

1. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers"
2. Right-click the the yellow flagged device and choose Update Driver
3. In Windows XP SP2, the Update Wizard will prompt to connect to the Windows Update
4. Select "No, not this time" and click Next
5. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next.
6. Select "Search for the best driver in theses locations" and check "Include this location in the search"
7. Click Browse and select the the location of downloaded driver
8. Click OK and click Next
9. Wait while the Wizard installs the software
10. Click Finish

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps

hi thanks for the help. I've downloaded that, but when I run startup.exe it starts...then says that no device was found, and suggests I install it and run setup.exe again?

I'm so confused it hurts! lol Any more help would be appreciated.

Can you get Everest, copy and paste the My Computer/Summary section, need to check the chipset as MSI don't list that board http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-16369.html

Hope this helps

Problems & Suggestions
Problem Disk free space is only 9% on drive C:.

There you go mate, hopefully you can help, this is driving me crazy.

Nothing from MSI on the board, but there should be a serial number on a label on the tower, with that you can go to Medion for drivers, pretty sure of the driver, it's CMI9880L it's at Driverguide for the MSI boards, but the serial number would help to go to Medion. Can you find it

cheers
