PEEEASE help!

This is your audio drover from Abit, it's Realtek http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/dr...ct_name=BD7III

installation
Installing Drivers

Create a folder for what you are downloading

Example: Audio
Then download the zipped file to that folder

Then download and install Winzip
Go to the folder and right click and click Winzip extract to here

That will automatically make a folder and unzip files to it ( make a note of file path)

Then go to folder and click on Setup file and follow instructions displayed for installation

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

This is the link to your Viao drivers, http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/s...G N-FE&m=2281

Preinstalled drivers, this is all the drivers for your model, it's 76MB in size, when you download all the individual drivers are in their named folder, and double clicking opens them, then double clicking the setup.exe installs the driver.

One thing to look for, if a folder for UAA is listed it must be installed before the audio driver

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Thanks for the quick reply.
I've done this before as well and always installed the UAA first, but then when I want to run the setup for the audio driver, it tells me: Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again Any ideas?

Iv'e not downloaded these drivers to look at, but this is what Sony advise with an Intel board

Intel chipset- INF drivers ( requires Restart)
Sony Shared Library
M$ UAA
Audio driver

have a look at the folders. if the Chipset or INF listed install same with the Sony shared Library

Check these out as well
Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Audio tab / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply > click Start > Reboot.

This is the link to you DFI MoBo drivers, audio is C-Media http://eu.dfi.com.tw/Support/Downloa...FLAG=A&SITE=UK

it's s zip file

Installing Drivers

Create a folder for what you are downloading

Example: Audio
Then download the zipped file to that folder

Then download and install Winzip
Go to the folder and right click and click Winzip extract to here

That will automatically make a folder and unzip files to it ( make a note of file path)

Then go to folder and click on Setup file and follow instructions displayed for installation

If no Setup file

1. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers"
2. Right-click the the yellow flagged device and choose Update Driver
3. In Windows XP SP2, the Update Wizard will prompt to connect to the Windows Update
4. Select "No, not this time" and click Next
5. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next.
6. Select "Search for the best driver in theses locations" and check "Include this location in the search"
7. Click Browse and select the the location of downloaded driver
8. Click OK and click Next
9. Wait while the Wizard installs the software
10. Click Finish.

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
