I received a new laptop as a gift with Vista installed and I wanted to dual boot XP, and I have spent the last month finding all of the drivers, but no matter where I look I cant find the Audio driver, I know its a Sigmatel High Definition Codec since that's what Vista is using but I don't know which.

Im in a rush but the laptop is a Gateway M-6322, and I will post the specs later.

Thanks for any help until I return

Same again......same sound issue

Hi,

As I am sure has been stated a thousand time, I also am having sound problems following accidently deleting the driver during a tidy up. DOH!!!

Any help from people with a knowledge in this area would be greatly appreciated. I am getting the awful beep noise and no sound coming out of speakers at all. The properties section of my computer is displayin the yellow ? and indicating no multimedia driver installed.

I have ran the Belarc software and the result of this are listed below. Again, any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

your C-media audio driver is here at ASRock http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=775i65G

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions
