Hello
hi i need help with the no sound problem either please 
well i rebooted my computer and when i got back it had no sound anymore i think it has something to do with my legacy audio driver, i'm not good with computers and if anyone could help me, that'd be great. just tell me what i need to do |

check Device Manager anything yellow flagged
Right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager
anything under Sound,video and game controllers
Need more info, make ,model or motherboard if not sure get Belarc, copy and paste the report but leave out the win update section and the Software Licence section it gives your Win Product code

Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

okay i did all of that and when i downloaded it, it said " cannot download the application. the application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance" then the two options are okay or details i clicked details and it

Hi Bookworm
so i took my friends laptop Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile V5535 v1.06, wiped out vista and installed from boot xp pro sp3 build 2600. downloaded all drivers from fujitsu website, all of them were fine except synaptics touchpad (said there is no install exec file for the current system or smth), and the realtek hd alc268 audio driver. it installed, but after reboot there was no sound, nor any sound devices in audio properties, and a (!) in device manager (PCI device). then i downloaded astra32, powerful system information software, it shoud me that the sound device is SiS Azalia audio controller. so i went to SiS webpage and got the SiS7012 audio driver, installed it through Add new hardware, and at the end of nstalation it showed [Cannot start the device (10)]. tried some other drivers as well, nothing worked. looked through forums, but couldn't solve it.. hope u can help me. maybe there is smth wrong with some other drivers, like chipset or smth? what can it be? please help. here's what Belarc shows about the system:

Helo! I've installed what I assume are the latest drivers for my friend's laptop, this TOSHIBA Satellite A75, but nothing changes. I am at a loss and a few of my tech friends are saying his sound card is no good. Here is the info provided by Belarc. TIA, bookworm!
