Did you get the driver from Realtek, that chipset board is used by quite a few makers, get Everest http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml
post the MyComputer?Summary section, it should give a motherboard make.
Hope this helps

Need to know what is in your comp, lots of different AC'97 drivers, also is it onboard sound or a sound card
onboard - radio jacks close to mouse and keyboard
sound card - much lower down on tower.
Post a belarc report, then can check if the right driver installed

Hope this helps

I am having a problem as well after formatting my windows home computer. I formatted my computer and put on windows pro. For some reason i no longer have any sound.
I have checked all sound properties and none of them are on "mute" or on a low setting. I have checked through hardware manager and it says everything is working fine. It seems that i have a "MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device"
Here is my belark printout, if someone could take a look at it and recommend what drivers i should get, please help out in any way.
thanks.

Lots of boards with the K8M800-8237 chipset, do you know the make and model of your comp, if not get Everest http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml
copy and paste the My Computer/Summary section, it may give the motherboard maker
Hope this helps
