Well it appears there is a problem with Sony BIOS found this
Description:
Disabling the audio in Sony Notebook Setup does not change the status of the audio in the BIOS and vice versa.
Solution:
*
This is a known issue. There is no solution available as yet.
So see if you can restore Defaults BIOS settings
Description:
How can I enter the BIOS and restore default values on my VAIO Notebook?
Solution:
1. Turn on your VAIO.
2. When you see the Sony logo, press F2 several times.
3. You will get the PhoenixBIOS Setup Utility window.
4. Press F9 to get default values and then press ENTER to confirm.
5. Press F10 to save changes and exit and then press ENTER to confirm.
6. You have restored the default values and your VAIO will now restart.

Did the default settings as well last time, no change. Do you think there is a way I can update the bios or something?

Multimedia Audio Controller
Ok, I posted my Belarc results on another thread but it didn't show the motherboard etcetc. My problem is that I'm having a yellow ? icon beside the Multimedia Audio Controller, which is under Other Devices. DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)
Computer Name TACO
User Name Quinten
Motherboard:
CPU Type Intel Pentium 4, 3185 MHz (16 x 199)

Communication Port Communications Port (COM2)
Communication Port ECP Printer Port (LPT1)
Display:
Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 (Microsoft Corporation) (256 MB)
3D Accelerator nVIDIA GeForce FX 5700
Multimedia:
Audio Adapter VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller
Storage:
IDE Controller VIA Bus Master IDE Controller
Floppy Drive Floppy disk drive
Disk Drive SAMSUNG SP1213N (120 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/133)

Does that help? What drivers/software/etc do I need?

Have a word here, Iv'e never updated my BIOS and it's complicated, they should have an answer http://www.overclockeddoc.com/Forum/index.php
Also send an email to Sony, it's really not good enough to say no fix, get them to send instructions an enabling the audio in the BIOS, it's what I would do.

Hello everyone. Anyone help me with finding the drivers that I need? The ones I mostly need are for my graphics and sound card so it'll be okay if anyone gets those for me. All my thanks if anyone does.

This board does not have onboard sound, a sound card installed, so will need to know which one.
your graphic card driver is here http://www.visiontek.com/teksupport/...re_driver.html
it's based on Ati's radeon drivers.
If you don't know which sound card you have Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-16369.html

The sound drivers are apparently Uninstalling. I reinstalled my Realtek Audio driver and then i tested my sound on a google video and it worked. Then i tried iTunes and the error message came up and the driver went *poof* gone. I reinsalled it again and i checked my control panel and it was back but this time i went to test it with google video and *poof* again....
