mustek 1200cp

i have xp sp2 and i cannot work my mustek scanner 1200cp. i found somewhere drivers 5mb but system founds the scanner as an imaging device but always fails to start it. every time says an error occured while installing and the drivers must be reinstalled, what i should do?????

Just a thought, turn off your Antivirus software before installing the driver.

nope, it diddn't work
now when i try to install it fresh nothing happens, in in the system device manager, i see it as unknown imagind device. i put to upgrade driver--> choose a driver to install and the error says: the installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this device

Take a look at this it is on-line support from Mustek and has the driver,http://www.mustek.com.tw/Support/

You just input 1200cp to find your model, have a look at the FAQ it does help with installation problems, it says you have to manually install not update, all instructions are given.

Set a Restore Point just in case
