more problems with sound.

I have a similar problem as Julia, but I have the quasar 2 motherboard with the realtek alc 655 audio controller with the unimodem half duplex audio device. I followed the steps that you sent through to resolve Julia's problems but tried to update as i could for the different controller but when i look at the sound options in the control panel it says that no audio device found. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help as i have probably spent about 12 hours trying to sort this out. Many thanks
