Hello!

It's the same as in all other cases. Driver for sound card is M.I.A.

Belarc gives the following info on motherboard:

Board: Springdale-G
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 04/02/2005

System is Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

I've got FOXCONN logo when starting the computer.

Thanks a lot!

Go back to Asus link, on left Operating System - select Win XP

then install the AGP driver, it's the Chipset driver - then restart comp, and install the audio driver from the Asus site.

Don't forget the Restore point

hi, im havin a similar problem. My computer crashed and so i had to install windows again after delting my old partition and starting from scratch. I got windows xp pro thinking it would be better than home but now it says sound device error, but on the device manager all codecs, legacy drivers and other drivers says working properly but i cant enable them, there isnt a default in the playback, or record section, and i have 2 with question marks, multimedia audio and video controller, my computer isnt hooked up to the internet yet so could i download the driver and burn it to a cd and then open it on it

my computer is a compaq presario S5300NX, anymore info, just tell me where to find it, thanks

This is the link to your drivers, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...product=364077

under Original drivers get the
Chipset
Graphic
Audio

just a thought, as you are burning to Cd, may be worth getting all the Original Drivers

I am having the same problem

i have just reformatted my computer and it is not recognizing any sound driver at all. I went to Properties>hardware>Device manager>and looked at the yellow !. it says Multimedia Audio Controller. I have a Dell Demension 3000. I believe my motherboard is intel (or that may just be the processor chip), but there are no sound cards. I am imagining it is a chip that when you plug in the speakers, it goes directly into the motherboard. usually, you see the speaker on the taskbar at the bottom, but that is not present for me. If anyone can help, e-mail me at hotscot7@optonline.net.

Audio - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...=364077&dlc=en
