Now, maybe I'm not understanding you correctly, but as you've worded your question- Oldtimer's right.

If you mean third-party drivers, they should be on any installation discs you may have for added hardware. Don't have them anymore or can't find them? All is not lost.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/My_Drivers_d2551.html

My Drivers can find all drivers currently on your system, find updated drivers, and back up drivers to an EXE automatic installation file. You can back up individual drivers or all of them at once. So you could, for instance, back them all up, re-install Windows, then re-install all your drivers. Nice little program I've used occasionally.

Good luck.

debonemo, you could try My Drivers, the program linked to in my post above. Supposedly it can find it for you, although I've never needed that function. It's claimed there are over 50,000 PnP I.D. strings in its database.

You might try that unless and until you get another reply. If Bookworm sees your post, no doubt your problem will be quickly solved.

I wonder, do you have USB 2 on your machine? XP SP2?

If you have SP2, your USB controller is USB 2, that's all. Dunno about Driver Magic, I've only used My Drivers. But if it's offering to update your drivers, did you let it do so? Chances are it won't find anything to update, with the exception of the PC camera, assuming it's connected.
