I'm running XP's Home Edition v 2002.
I just bought a new iPod & when I went to install the software I couldn't find the installation program anywhere.
The CD shows up beside the cursor, but I can't find it on my computer anywhere.
My friend had me Start > Run > d:
It comes up that "d: refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location."
I went to the "My Computer" folder & it wasn't in there either.
I've saw similar posts & tried what was suggested "Pull the cables", but that didn't work in my case.
I know it isn't the iPod disc because this has happened before with my digital camera & when I try to burn CDs.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time
