have same problem, rebooted pc, now no sound and yellow "?" on: PCI Device, PCI Modem, System interrupt controller, Unknown Device, and Video controller..please help!!

these are your drivers from Asus http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us

input OS click Search

under Others install the Via Chipset - then RESTART your comp

your VGA and Audio are shown, but I suspect you have a Video card installed although it is not showing

these 2 drivers will not work unless both your monitor and audio plug into the I/O plate as shown in my previous post, it's the PCI that makes me think you have a video card , will need to know what card you have.

Set a System Restore Point before installing EACH DRIVER just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

Don't forget the Restore Point before installing each driver

i just reformatted my dell inspiron 8250

I was able to get the internet to work... and as with others on this thread i cant get my sound to work.

I am not to savvy with computers, so how can i get all the system information for my comp that everyone else is posting?

I noticed in device manager there is a ? next to "other devices" which lists Multimedia Audio controller and Video controller.I need drivers.

I cant find the driver i need

I have an emachines m2352 and I used a basic oem windows xp home but not the one that came with the laptop(cant' find it). went to there web page and found some driver load what it told me to but still nothing. The video shut down programes if there to fast
