It should be on your m/board driver disk, failing that check your m/board manufacturers website or failing that check the Intel website

It is CD that should have come with your pc, or if you have a brand name computer with a recovery disk then it will be on there.

Can you please tell me the make and model number of your m/board as searches of the intel site for the drivers you have listed yield a .pdf on chipset compatability with Win 95 and nothing else.

You may also like to check the MP3 manufacturers web site for known XP compatability issues.

Have you found a suitable driver. I'm having the same problem or at least I think I do. When I open the hardware administrator it does see the device, but it gives me a code 10 (unable to start device) so I guess I need the appropriate driver.

Smile Intel 82371 AB/EB USB not working

Hi Dudes,
Possible answer for you, but bear with me - this is the first time I've ever done a post.
My USB ports were'nt working on a reclaimed PC with same M'board. If you go into device manager (contol panel, system, hardware, device manager) click on one of the USB options and see if the dialogue box displays : this device cannot start Code 10.
If so the USB contollers have probably been turned off in the BIOS.

Reboot PC & enter BIOS set up by hitting delete, wait for BIOS screen menus, click on set-up menu, click on chip set menu, click on first USB option, click enable in pop-up box, click on USB legacy Kbd/mse and change if you have any (I changed mine to Auto). Press Esc to exit thro various menus and then finally save changes and exit.

System should now complete booting and your USB ports should work - at least mine did. I could use a wireless USB mosue no problem, and am part way setting up a USB 54g wireless network adapter.

Hope this helps someone, Curahee, Cellfreak

Better late than necer, so here goes:

I went into the bios and ENABLED the USB port.
Windows Xp then automatically installed the correct driver to make it work.

Thanks!
