Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

your model is shown as a Gateway 835GM Media Center,( traced useing serial number CBL561100403 ) and does not show a sound driver download under My Downloads but specs show it is a SigMatel sound driver go here to Gateway to get driver http://support.gateway.com/support/d...406&type=10096

I agree, but some people can't afford to buy these sound cards, yes a lot of information, but more is better than not enough. Also a fact of life that some do not know what model they have and Belarc can supply this

This helps to trace the information that is needed, another point in Belarc's favour, if you ever have anything installed by a third party your Belarc report will confirm that what you have paid for is actually installed.
