Question USB Headset

Hi,
I am trying to use a new USB headset, bought the Logitech USB PS2 headset. My computer is Win XP service pack 2, sound card is SoundBlaster Audigy 2.

When I plug in the USB headset to my USB port I get the standard Windows dialogue box indicating new hardware has been detected and either to let windows install the drivers or specify where the drivers are at. I choose to let windows install the drivers and after some time it tells me it can't find the drivers and displays the error code 28. After this I can't select the USB headset in either Teamspeak (chat program) or windows audio settings, it is as if they are not plugged in or the computer can't detect them. Has anyone run into this before? I wonder if it is because it can't install the drivers? Any idea what driver I would need to install?

Thanks in advance for any help!

No install book/cd they are the USB headsets made for PS2. I know they work on PC's because many friends use them, but they never had this driver issue.

Or why not ask your many friends who have actually had success.
Have them drop by for a beer or 2 .
I really can't add much more, but will watch for replys.

No reply to usb2 drivers, Could be the reason.

I have USB2 installed on my machine, my friends have tried to help, but all they have done is plug them into their machines and it worked just fine.

Hi, This is for Oldtimer. Some older amplified speakers only borrowed the +5 from the USB port to power the Amplifier. The audio came from the usual source, the LINE OUT on the sound card. Don't know much about the newer stuff. OlderTimer, Jim
