deleted sound

I too was cleaning out old games and unused hardware and I think I accidentally deleted all of our sound. I deleted SoundMax. I know someone asked about this before so just redirect me if that works best.

No Sound.

I have recently installed Windows XP SP3 onto a computer I am currently working on. After I had installed the OS, there was no sound due to the Multimedia Audio Controller driver, when previously there was sound!

I have reformatted my computer and installed Windows xp pro sp2 and it seems like everyone is getting this problem, my sound is not working and i am pretty sure it is due to a multimedia audio controller driver issue so if you could help me that would be much appreciated. thank you -Rico

My keyboard and mouse recently stopped working. I changed the little battery on the motherboard to fix that problem but I lost my sound!
