Audio Driver - Intel(r) 82801AA Controller AC'97 on windows XP Pro

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my sound/audio driver. Windows Media Player says my audio device isn't installed.
Earlier it used to work on win 98, but on win XP its creating problem.
Please someone tell me what do i need to do??

but it is difficult to identify which one, the board is a Tiga 810 do you know the make and model of your comp so we can be sure
