This is the link to your emachine W3107 drivers http://www.emachine-upgraders.info/d...ownloads.shtml
install the System drivers first

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Hope this helps

If Im not mistaken this is something to do with your HDD settings in the BIOS setup.

If you have a RAID HDD, make sure it is set to RAID and not any other setting (check the manual for your PC)
If If isn't RAID, make sure its set to the correct setting, IDE, SATA etc if possible.

Before you formatted, did you flash your BIOS? If yes, that could be causing the problem. Do a google search on Detecting array and it'll show a lot of issues surrounding BIOS and HDD issues.

Aloha, I had to sign up for the forum to say thanks on this issue. The link that bookworm provided was perfect.

The emachine I was working on had a bad stick of ram, if Husky still has not solved his problem then running memtest86 should help him clarify if in fact his RAM is good.

This is the second emachine in a month that has had bad RAM.

I do repair support in Hawaii.

ALOHA!
