According to HP it's the ADI1885 audio codec, try this driver from DriverGuide http://members.driverguide.com/drive...driverid=80211

Don't forget the Restore Point

Hope this helps

Try this, it's the SiS identification utility, it will give what SiS components are installed and link to the driver http://www.sis.com/support/support_prodid.htm
if your audio is not SiS it will tell you

Hope this helps

just put another link up, the audio from all I have seen is SiS 7012, which was the Asus driver, run the programe from SiS agree to all, Iv'e used it myself on an SiS board, if it's the SiS audio, all instructions to install are on the site. If your still not sure just copy and paste the findings and I'll link you to the driver.

Cheers

Exclamation Multimedia Audio Controller and that annoying yellow exclamation mark! HELP

same with your "previous" encounters in this thread "BOOKWORM"...I also got myself that exclamation mark (the yellow one) labeled Multimedia Audio Controller...had these for almost a month, my speakers wont work and the only sound my PC emits is the beeping sound that goes on as warning for system errors (god bless those beeps)....short story short...i dont have audio...help me please? I tried to do a re-install of my OS...Win XP Pro... but it didnt work...the yellow exclamation mark was still there on the Multimedia Audio Controller thing...my system was able to detect it after I uninstalled the Multimedia Audio Controller but cant do an install due to missing drivers...help!!!....(note: I had audio before but due to unknown problems, my audio went missing)....
