DVD/CD-RW Drive (E:) Not Working.

I have Windows XP Home Edition SP2.
No AntiViruses or Firewalls or Routers.
The E: Drive is not working, I put the CD in the Drive, it goes back in, and it loads after a while, then nothing happens. It is in the Driver and nothing loads.
Any help please?

1. It is a DVD/CD-RW disc drive.
2. I'm putting in a CD-ROM Cd

And how do I find out the type of device and brand?

Check it with other cds . and check the drive on another PC. If the problem still exists. Your drives lens pick up may have gone faulty. Get it Replaced with a service engineer.
