Question No Sound ... help?

Hello ...

My sound has fallen and it can't get up!

I installed a PCI Multimedia Combo card (2+1 USB and 2+1 Firewire) and an old hard drive from my previous machine.

Now no sound. The Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Digital worked fine before these installs.

Problem 2 ... I've also installed an LG DVD RAM reader/writer. Sometimes it works, other times it says it's "not accessable" (and of course, there's no sound)

I've read this board extensively and have tried about everything recommended by "BookWorm".

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA

MikeTTF

Just 3 points, did you disable onboard sound in the BIOS and did you update the chipset driver and do a repair Install of Windows.

Hope this helps
