No sounds anymore after Formatting PC

Hi all,

I am having a Problem with Sounds.

I am always playing Counterstrike:Source and without Sounds i dont like it that much

Here are the Specs Of my PC

One thing, are you useing onboard sound or a sound card, this is the sound driver Asus have for the P4G8X motherboard

just click Audio

Set a System restore Point before installing just in case

oke i just Downloaded the XP Version of the Sounds.

But i dont hear any Sounds Yet what do i have to do next

So i downloaded File alc650_wdm329

and when i was looking on speech, Sound and sound machines

I didnt saw any Thing

Seccond there wassnt A Mix machine on it

I was searching on wizard and then i saw this type

C-Media AC97 Audio Device.

I think it must be the problem with it.

If u are thinking about my bad english u can maybe see I am Dutch :P

What make and model is your comp, and can you check this
Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Properties/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device.

If u mean with Make and Model I have Windows XP Professional
Its in Dutch Language (Netherlands)

But u ask to Check some thing
My answer : i cant do that in a complete way

When i am In the Sound and Audio Devices Propperty i see @ Volume There are no Audio Devices

second i look @ Audio

There u Can see

Take place of sound

then I see @ the Scroll section Standard Devices
I cant click on there It says that there isnt a Standard device

Thats just like Take of sound

I hope u know what kinda Devices i mean because i am translating the words with Babelfish.

The language of my PC is Dutch to

Make and model, what i mean is it a Dell, HP,Sony, just let me know, I can look for the model on a Dutch site, it's just a case of checking the specifications,

Are your audio jacks low down on the tower, if they are you have a sound card, need to check which one.

Hmm,

I dont know what u mean by Audio Jacks.

U mean Witch Soundcard I Have ???

Well i have this Videocard:
Audio Adapter Intel 82801DB ICH4 - AC'97 Audio Controller [B-0]
I say that Just in case

and my Computer model is: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz


If u need more Information u can ask me.

But what i will tell is that my Soundcard did work but after Formatting it Didnt worked any more.

So thats why i need the Drivers,

Well..

I dont know if im With that Much patients sorry..

But A friend will maybe come tomorrow But if he dont come on Tuesday it will be on Wednesday and i will try to explain to u guys what the Problem was and what Drivers i needed

I guess he will be there on Wednessday.

and the Link to ur site wil be on my Site.

If Some members will have problems with there PC etc.

But u have to know that i wont break my Promises
But if u can Send me the Drivers More rather than i will be gratefull

Hi all

I just Fixed the problem...

It was this driver i was looking for...

C-media WDM Audio Device

I was bothering myself so i should look again so i looked to the mix Device then i saw this C-media WDM Audio Device

I was realy Sure that this was the Sound card i was looking for my driver and then it worked i heard the sounds etc

But i will still add u guys on the link off my Site ( i told that 3 thausend times xD )


i Couldnt be so far if i didnt get the link of the first download of that motherboard.
So i realy appreciate the work around this Forum

I will PM Bookworm the Website of our site if i break a Rule
Then i will message a PM again when the site is Updated
