Get Belarc http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

copy and paste the report ( not the Software Licence section, it gives Product codes) it should give clues to what you need, if you have a graphic card installed and no drivers this programe should list it http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...entifier.shtml

Hope this helps

The codes lead to a Presario V2040US notebook, go here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s... 3897&lang=en

your ATI Graphic driver is listed

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps

Hello, my first post on this forum.
Anyway, I accidently uninstalled my Nvidia display driver and it deleted the entire display driver, so now I can't play any video games on the computer.
I have the same problem with vga controller. A windows update popped up for vga controller after deleting Nvidia, so I installed it but it gave me an error message. I ran belrac and it said it didn't detect a display driver on my computer.
Any help?

first do you have a System Restore Point you can use to go back to before you uninstalled the driver.
Second need to know which nVidia card Get Everest / copy and paste the Computer – Summary section. Leave out the Debug –PCI section.

Yay, it worked, thank you so much.
Also, now I can download regular driver updates like the one I used to have installed right?

that is the latest video driver from nVidia, if it's working ok, then I see no need to update it, if you mean from Win Update, personally I would stick with the nVidia driver unless you have a problem. Like they say " If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
