No sound since Formated Hard Drive

Hi

A freind of mine recently formated my Hard Drive due to problems and now I've got no sound. I can't find my original sound driver disk so I'm a bit stuck.

I'm not sure what sound card I have installed.
I've been on Device Manager and under Sound, Video and game controllers; under here it says Lagacy Audio Drives. Does this mean that it's already Installed? If so how come I can't get any sound.

Can anyone help me?

What make and model is your comp, if not sure get Belarc copy and paste the report not software or win update section http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
