Soundmax Adi1988 Onboard.

Hey ST&T

I have just bought 4 new items for my pc.
Everything works fine except my soundcard will not install properly, from the CD that were with the motherboard.

I have tried to get drivers from Asus with no luck,

When i open ventrilo it says this:
Unable to activate directsound for the selected device.
DirectSoundCaptureCreate failed, hr = 88780078

My PC specs is as following:

System:
Windows XP SP 1

Computer:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU
6300 @ 1.86 Ghz
2.00 GB Ram

I really hope you can help me.

Update the chipset from asus
