Hello all! I've been reading these forums for two hours trying to find someone with the same Belarc stats as me so I didnt have to bother you guys with the 5000th question. Big surprise, I have no sound and the computer is not recognizing my audio card. It's part of my motherboard.

Here are my Belarc stats:

128 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: MICRO-STAR INTL, CO.,LTD. MS-7037 Ver 0A
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 12/23/2004
Drives Memory Modules c,d
39.99 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
15.54 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

TSSTcorp CDW/DVD TS-H492A [CD-ROM drive]

Generic USB CF Reader USB Device [Hard drive] -- drive 2
Generic USB MS Reader USB Device [Hard drive] -- drive 4
Generic USB SD Reader USB Device [Hard drive] -- drive 1
Generic USB SM Reader USB Device [Hard drive] -- drive 3
ST340015A [Hard drive] (40.02 GB) -- drive 0, s/n 5LAGM16N, rev 3.15, SMART Status: Healthy 248 Megabytes Installed Memory

Please help... I halfway understand what is going on here, but not enough to do this without help. I think I may need to download the chipset and then the drivers? I will be eternally grateful....

According to the motherboard make/model in your post, you need the "Realtek ALC Series AC97 Audio Driver", available from MSI on this page (third item down): http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...UID=631&kind=1

Make sure you choose the correct one for your version of Windows from the three that are offered.
