Gigabyte motherboard sound device not working!!

The sound doesnt work on my computer after i got a new harddrive and installed windows on it.

i have posted this before and i was told to get everest to tell me what my motherboard model was.
motherboard id: 05/13/2005-P4M266A-8235-6A6L-WG0FC-00
motherboard name: Gigabyte GA-8VM533M-RZ
motherboard manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.

i tried going to the gigabyte website and downloading the audio driver for my motherboard and it said "VIA AC97 Chipset not enabled on this system ! Please enable it first on BIOS then run this setup again."

I don't know if that means the bios screen that you get to when windows is loading by hitting delete. i went to that and couldn't find anything disabled that had to do with the audio driver.

Anyone that knows what to do could you please help?

Go into BIOS / Main Menu opens / scroll to Intergrated Peripherals / Enter / AC'97 audio should be set to Auto or Enabled / to change press the PgUp key / then F10 to ave changes
