Bookworm if you would mind coming in and help me out a bit or direct me somewhere much appreciated

i chose to ask u because i have seen you help LOTS of people with Sound Driver Problems

I Have an Intel {R} Pentium {R} M if that helps

need more info, make and model or the motherboard if not sure Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.

Under my intel inside centrino notebook it says octeck computer system then like 4 numbersthen-then 4numbers then - and so on
octeck has a logo looking like M

From what I have found it has Realtek AC'97 audio go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install.

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

well so i installed the program sucessfully BUT when i open wmp 11 it says windows could not detect a audio device or might be used by another program bla blA BLA so what now also on the device manager multimedia audio controller is gone which im guessing is a good thing

having problem with no sound on my laptop-plz help

I have to ask you for help or advice. Recently I acquired HP laptop nx 7300 and it had preloaded Vista on it, I removed vista completely and installed win XP PRO with service pack 2. I have found drivers for everything but my sound cared still is not working, and audio device is not showing. Now, I went to HP page and downloaded driver that is right, as they claim, for my laptop but there is no results. Do you have any suggestions about what should I try next, if you do I will be grateful to here hem
