Yellow Question Mark next to Video controller and no sound

Hello Im a newbie and a novice as well on pc's . Some months ago My PC Crashed and I had to have my hard drive re-formatted (installed windows xp home ) since then I have had no sound at all on my pc, when I go into device manager it shows a yellow question mark next to Video controller and the code no. 28- no drivers installed -Can anyone help me please to get the sound back ? Ive done an "Everest" Report, details below Thankyou :

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a
Restore point and follow instructions

Many thanks for your reply. Ive downloaded the driver from the link you provided and did a restore point to be safe then I followed all the instructions but ive still got no sound, when I go into device manager-hardware- other devices-video controller (VGA Compatable) there is still a yellow ? but now there is a black ! mark on top of it ? Any ideas what I can do now ?
